Example gallery, real boards and how they were decorated

Seeing it once beats reading about it. Below are examples straight from the service. The names and messages are staged, but every bit of decoration is a feature you can use right now.

Birthday: handwriting on a warm background

Birthday group card example, six yellow, pink and sky blue sticky notes on a cream background with a hand-drawn heart
The background was set to cream. Friends wrote in a handwriting font and family in the default font, so the voices do not blur together. The heart in the middle was drawn with the pen tool.

This example uses only three features.

  • Background color: a pastel from the palette button. For birthdays, cream or light pink is a safe choice.
  • Sticky note color and tilt: a different color per person and a slight tilt make it look hand-placed.
  • Doodles: no skill needed. One heart or one star changes the temperature of the board.

Farewell: a calm tone, formal and casual mixed

Farewell group card example, six sticky notes from a manager, colleagues and juniors on a light blue background
The manager in a crisp default font, close colleagues in handwriting: the distance between people at work shows in the fonts too. The last note is signed “the whole team”, as if the admin team wrote it together.

The trick for a farewell board is a calm background. Colored sticky notes on light blue or gray read better than on a loud background, and look tidy when printed as a gift. Wording for managers and juniors is collected in the farewell guide.

Graduation: the whole class on one page

Graduation group card example, sticky notes from the homeroom teacher and classmates on a mint background with a hand-drawn star
The homeroom teacher's note takes the top-left spot and the class president closes with a final greeting. The star in the middle was drawn with the drawing tool too.

When a whole class makes one, the first notes set the layout. If the teacher or organizer writes first, the classmates who follow write without hesitating. The full class procedure is in the graduation guide.
